Thai immigration officials may occasionally request proof of accommodation for at least the first two days of your stay. d) Minimum Cash Requirement

Thai immigration may ask for proof that you have sufficient funds to support your stay. A minimum of 10,000 Thai Baht per person (approximately ₹26,000 as of July 2025, based on current exchange rates) is recommended. Carry this amount in cash as proof. This ensures compliance and avoids delays at the border/airport.

e) Forex Card for Safety

For a safer and more convenient experience, consider getting a forex card from banks like HDFC or ICICI before leaving India. Load it with Thai Baht to cover your expenses, especially if you plan a long stay. This is particularly useful if you’re uncomfortable carrying large amounts of cash. Forex cards also help manage spending and offer better exchange rates compared to currency exchange at airports.

f) Immigration Form via QR Code

Since July 1, 2025, it has become mandatory to fill out the Thailand immigration form by scanning the QR code provided on official immigration notices or websites. This streamlined process requires you to submit details like your passport number, travel itinerary, and accommodation in advance. Complete this step online before departure to save time upon arrival, as manual filling at the airport can be time-consuming.
