IBPS CRP RRBs XV 2026 Notification Out: Apply Online for Officers & Office Assistants Posts in Regional Rural Banks
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the official notification for the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks – CRP RRBs XV. This is a opportunity for candidates seeking government banking jobs in rural India.
IBPS will conduct online examinations for Group “A” Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) across 28 participating Regional Rural Banks. Interviews for Officers will be coordinated by Nodal RRBs, with support from NABARD and IBPS, and are tentatively scheduled for January/February 2027.

Participating RRBs
There are 28 Regional Rural Banks across various states and UTs, including Andhra Pradesh Grameena Bank, Assam Gramin Bank, Bihar Gramin Bank, Gujarat Gramin Bank, Karnataka Grameena Bank, Kerala Grameena Bank, Maharashtra Gramin Bank, Odisha Grameen Bank, Punjab Gramin Bank, Rajasthan Gramin Bank, Tamil Nadu Grama Bank, Telangana Grameena Bank, Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank, West Bengal Gramin Bank, and others. Each bank specifies a desired local language proficiency (e.g., Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, etc.).
Age Limit (as on 01.09.2026)
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): 18–28 years (born between 02.09.1998 and 01.09.2008)
- Officer Scale-I: Above 18 – Below 30 years
- Officer Scale-II: Above 21 – Below 32 years
- Officer Scale-III: Above 21 – Below 40 years
Age relaxation is available for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years), Ex-Servicemen, and widows/divorced women (for Office Assistants only) as per government norms.
Educational Qualifications (as on 21.09.2026)
- Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline + proficiency in local language (desirable: computer knowledge)
- Officer Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preference for Agriculture, IT, Law, Management, etc.) + local language proficiency
- Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks + 2 years experience as an officer in a bank/financial institution
- Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers): Specific degrees (IT, CA, Law, Agriculture, Marketing, Treasury) with required experience
- Officer Scale-III: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks + minimum 5 years experience as an officer in a bank/financial institution
Application Fee
- SC/ST/PwBD (and ESM/DESM for Office Assistants): ₹175
- Others: ₹850
Exam Pattern Overview
Preliminary Exam (for Office Assistants & Scale-I):
- Reasoning + Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude
- 80 questions, 80 marks, 45 minutes
Main Exam (Office Assistants & Scale-I):
- Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude
- 200 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
Single Exam (Scale-II & III):
- Similar structure with Financial Awareness and Professional Knowledge (for specialists)
- 200–240 questions, depending on the post
There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must qualify in each section.
Vacancies
Indicative vacancies are available in Annexure-I of the notification. For Office Assistants alone, several states have substantial openings (e.g., Uttar Pradesh – 1200, Andhra Pradesh – 900, Telangana – 750, Odisha – 600). Actual vacancies will be confirmed by the RRBs at the time of provisional allotment. Category-wise and PwBD reservations apply.
