Applications are invited from the eligible intending candidates who have qualified the UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/SET/CEED/regular M.Tech or any other examinations, considered equivalent by the Board of Research Studies of Vidyasagar University and also the candidates those who qualified the Vidyasagar University RET (Research Eligibility Test), 2023-2024, for admission into the Ph.D. Programme – 2024-2025 in Bengali, Commerce, Economics, English, History, Library & Information Science, Management, Philosophy, Santali, Sociology, Anthropology, Bio-Medical Laboratory Science & Management, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Environmental Studies, Fisheries Science, Geography, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Remote Sensing & GIS and Zoology. The candidates will have to fill in the Application Form through the online portal of the University website (http://vidyasagar.ac.in), which will be available with effect from 17.04.2025. After successful completion of all the steps (e.g. filling in the personal details, academic details, uploading photo and signature), the candidates will have to pay Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand) only (plus convenience fee & GST, if applicable) for undeserved category and Rs.700/- (Rupees seven hundred ) only (plus convenience fee & GST, if applicable) for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS/Persons with Disabilities as application fee for the Ph. D. Programme through online mode of payment (credit card / debit card, net banking etc.) only. The last date for submission of online application is 01.05.2025.
