Dibrugarh University Recruitment 2026: Apply for University Librarian & Deputy Librarian Posts

Dibrugarh University, Assam, has announced recruitment for two key library positions. Applications are invited for the University Librarian (01 post) and the University Deputy Librarian (01 post) positions on a permanent basis. Vacancy Details

1. University Librarian

• Number of Posts: 01 (Unreserved)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200/- (Academic Level 14)

2. University Deputy Librarian

• Number of Posts: 01 (OBC/MOBC)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 78,800 – 2,11,500/- (Academic Level 12)

Nature of Post: Permanent (with 01-year probation period)

Eligibility Criteria

For University Librarian:

• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Librarian in a University Library, OR 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science, OR 10 years as a College Librarian.
• Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in library operations.
• Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript-keeping.

For University Deputy Librarian:

• Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks.
• 08 years of experience as Assistant University Librarian / College Librarian.
• Evidence of innovative library services with ICT integration.
• Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science / Archives and Manuscript-keeping / Computerization of library.

• Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only)
• Payment Mode: SBI Collect (QR code available in the official notification)
